Judith Shamir holds a Master of Hebrew Literature (MHL) degree from the Cleveland College of Jewish Studies and Master of Education (M. Ed) degree in Curriculum Development and Supervision from John Carroll University.
Over the numerous years of her involvement in Jewish Education, Judith served as an Educational Consultant for the Bureau of Jewish Education in Cleveland (BJE) and as the Superintendent of the Cleveland Hebrew School (CHS) for twenty -six years. She has been on the faculty of Siegal College of Judaic Studies for many years serving as an instructor and a coordinator of the Ulpan program, and later, as a Hebrew Literature lecturer. In recent years, Judith served as the Lead Teacher for the Gross Schechter Lower School. Judith, who has conducted workshops for teachers locally and on the national scene, is the co-authors of two textbook; Let's Learn Torah and V'ahavta Judith prepared and presented a short radio weekly program entitled "A Moment of Hebrew" for the Cleveland Jewish Scene on W.C.L.V.
Judith's communal leadership roles included serving as the Chair of the Educational Directors Council of Cleveland (EDC), Co-Chair of Super Sunday Religious Division and Chair of the Alumni Association of Siegal College of Jewish Studies.
